From the Bay of Islands back to Auckland

Today we leave the Bay of Islands and all it's beauty behind us.
After a delicious breakfast we head off to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds for a short but worthwhile visit.
We ambled over the beautifully kept grounds but kept an eye on our watches.
We were to be ready to leave with the bus at 10 am.

We stowed our bags and sat on another spot in the bus- right at the back this time.

And we are off to our next destination....

We stopped briefly at the Basin Marina in Whangarei.
There we were able to have a comfort stop and a wee lunch
And on the bus once again, we went.

Up hills and down dales.. we went
Truly beautiful to see and be part of.
We also passed the Warkworth District Museum where the mighty Kauri tree is.
Yes, we did photograph it
We are expected at the hotel in Auckland round 4 pm this afternoon.
A different room - 412.

When we get there we are pleased to see twin beds.
A good night sleep ahead for sure.
A quick trip into town to purchase a pair of shorts and sleeveless t-shirt
It promises to be very warm tomorrow.
After a quick freshen up we head off upstairs to dinner
Lamb burger, roast beef, potatoes and various vegetables, salad.
All very delicious.

An early morning start so off to bed on time tonight

The mighty Kauri!
