Farewell Cooper's Beach- hello Auckland

That was it then... our visit to Cooper's  Beach.
In one word - FANTASTIC!

Mum and I droop off to the beach- just to have  last glimpse of this awesome coastline while Ben does his usual pre -lock up routine.
Bye ocean, bye comfortable lovely beach house, bye.....

Back to Auckland ( Gulf Harbour ) for our last 2 nights in New Zealand.

We take the 'normal route' still being informed about the sights along the way.
In Kerikeri we purchase some mandarines at a roadside stall.
Once we get to Kawakawa we pauze for a coffee/tea break.

A must for Kawakawa is a toilet stop. Definitely not to be missed.
An amazingly beautiful, in mosaic design, this art work just is a must to behold.
Even the busses that pass through stop here.
Kawakawa is famous for it's toilets- believe me a most worthy tribute.

We treat ourselves to a yum donut with our tea/coffee.
Then it is a short visit to  Whangarei Falls.
Mum and I stretch our legs by walking the track.
We are enchanted by what we see.

The trip back to Auckland in itself a lovely experience
Around 6pm we reach Ben and Daphne's home.
Our stopover till we leave on Wednesday.

Another most enjoyable day. Sun, sea, sights and good company.
Thanks ( uncle) Ben.
It's fish and chips for tea, yummy!
