A day trip to Russel

Good morning sunshine - what a lovely way to start the day.

First breakfast, then we make use of the washing machine.

Time to relax in the sun, after the washing has been hung on the line we are ready for our adventure of the day - Russel.

We drive along a most beautiful route driving through Totara North,  Whangaroa Habour

where we have lunch at "Luke's Cafe"
The hamburger is awesomely tasty. Because of the cosy nature of the cafe we take a few photos.

Then on to Wainui Bay, Te Ngaere Bay and another bay I can't remember the name of.
We don't know where to look - left, right. Everywhere we are impressed and enthralled at the beauty all around us. Yes, we click away merrily on our camera. It will be hard to choose when making our album.

From Opua with the  ferry to Russell.
Just a short cross over.

We visit Flagstaff Hill and lo and behold-  Kiwis.
Right there, I can almost touch them - they don't seem scared at all.WAUW!
They are probably used to people- not like in the wild where they are very 

shy.

We amble along - enjoying not only the view but also the sun on our faces.

This spot wasn't on our AATKIN TOURS trip.

How happy we are that Ben knows the right places to visit.

Onward to  Russell where we again take a stroll and enjoy an ice cream.

How beautiful....What a lovely homes....what a place to be and to live.

Tme to head back to Cooper's Beach, for tea a BBQ.
Sweet potatoes, beans to go with our saté and sausages.
A meal fit for a king.
