Goodbye New Zealand - Hello Singapore

We fly at 13:30 NZ time.

Woke up with the sun on my face this morning and my thoughts went out to my 3 boys at home.
Not long now and I will be able to hug, hold and kiss them again What a wonderful thought.

Chatted with Marcel this morning - he is happy that I will be home again real soon.
Mum and I had breakfast and gathered our belongings. Packed and ready - hoping we got everything.

We take Daphne to work - saying our farewells.
The on to Auckland International Airport we go.
What a large city this  is - we are in awe as we travel through Auckland City.

After dropping off our luggage and having filled in our departure forms we say our goodbyes to Ben.

Another step closer to home.

The plane is from Singapore Air. Phew!! That's a relief. We remember our Air new Zealand and are pleased this isn't a repeat performance.
A large plane - 10 seats across the aisle.
Boarding starts shortly and is regulated by row numbers. Starting at the back- and moving forward.

We are close to the wing - row 48 and window seats.

Just prior to lift off we receive a warm towelette to freshen up. Lovely.
Headsets are handed out as is a puch with an toothbrush and a mini tube of toothpaste

We are airborne- I use my headset and listen to music.
Cola and peanuts, and a warm meal. We are well taken care of.

Time passes - coffee and a chocolate brownie and biscuit for a snack.

Another 2 and 3/4 hours before we land in Singapore
I keep tracking our flight.
It is 16:07 local time in Singapore
Strange as we are going back in time.

Another warm towelette- that feels so refreshing.

Many of the window shutters are down- a soft light cheers the cabin
Time slowly slips by.
Not long to go - this being a huge part of our distance to travel.
Can't remember the exact timespan . The best part of 11-12 hours if I remember rightly.

We land safe and well - now we have a 5 hour transit waiting time.
I am sure we won't be bored.
What a large, busy and beautiful airport.
