Mum's story

Escaping winter in The Netherlands in Spain- and having time to think about the up and coming trip to New Zealand

Herman and I  enjoyed the warm sunshine ( Januari 2014 ) 8 weeks Spain, of which we still have 3 weeks to go. Here too I am reminded of my up and coming trip. I will be escaping the cold but not in Spain.

On my return- we will need to make choices, decide on a plan of attack slowly work our way towards our departure. My first week home from Spain and I am due to spend a week as volunteer for the Red Cross. We set a date to visit Sandra at the travel agency.

I am flooded with emotions- my memories are tinged with the reminder of all those stressful moments. Luckily I can let them go at will - something I struggled with many years ago. What also helps are the special moments I cherish. They balance the whole period quite nicely.

Wow, I am going to New Zealand WITH my daughter.




It is Tuesday 18th March and at 9:30 we have an appointment with Sandra

She has done the research - from the 7th to 14th March 2015 - we are booked to do the Northern Spotlight Tour.
She is now looking for a return flight which will tie in with our plans.

We will have to be patient- there is so much to organise. Oh what an excitement. I am getting keener as time rolls on.

After our meeting with Sandra- it is time for a celebratory lunch.
