Anita and Leen's visit

Gathering further information......

Sunday 13 April 2015 was planned for Leen and Anita to visit -  in Baarle Nassau. Veronique arrived late in the afternoon before and stayed the night. Lovely to have her stay over.

We were keen to pry and gather information we wanted to make our trip as pleasant and well prepared as possible.

The weather gods were good to us- it was sunny and pleasant. Everything was set for us to have a great time together.

I had asked Anita if she would like to bring scones- she is very competent in the kitchen and this would give our day an extra Kiwi flavour.

We were advised about how to retrieve our money from the ATM, how best to choose seats on the plane, packing tips and such like.

Anita and Leen had brought maps of the whole North Island with them for us to use.

I had made an asparagus and a vegetable soup. We had bread rolls, fresh fruit and of course plenty of wet refreshments. They, Anita and Leen, were mesmerised by the surroundings in which we live, elated at the visits of the squirrels that frequent our verandah and enjoyed the walk through the park.

During our walk we again discussed some issues which may or may not be of importance during our trip
After a most enjoyable interlude we waved our visitors, including Veronique goodbye.
