We kick off our NZ stay by.....

.... taking part in an 8 day North Island adventure tour.

We hope to discover the Bay of Islands, Auckland, Waitomo Caves, Rotorua, Taupo, Mt Ruapehu, Wellington and more.

Mum and I so want to see as much as possible of this country in which I, Veronique, was born.

Auckland International Airport

Day 1: Arrive Auckland

Mercure Hotel, Auckland

On arrival in Auckland we will be transferred to our hotel.
There we will be treated to a Welcome Reception and meet our tour director and fellow travellers. It will be heavenly to take a shower and sleep in a bed after that long journey.






Day 2: Auckland-Bay of Islands

Hole in the Rock

We depart Auckland the next morning and travel along the Hibiscus Coast Highway to the beautiful Bay of Islands. I bet we won't know where to look, with all that lovely scenery along the way.
On arrival we will take a scenic cruise through game fishing waters to Cape Brett and, weather permitting, go through the famous Hole in the Rock formation.

Day 3: Bay of Islands 'Free Time'
You have a free day to experience the beauty of the Bay of Islands.
We have the choice of so many attractions like: going dolphin watching, taking a coach trip to Cape Reinga, via idyllic Ninety Mile Beach or a day sailing or even a guided sea-kayaking trip.

....deze 8 daags noordereiland avontuur aan te gaan!

Wij zullen deze plaatsen bezoeken..... Bay of Islands, Auckland, Waitomo Caves, Rotorua, Taupo, Mt Ruapehu en in Wellington eindigen.

Onze tijd is beperkt, toch willen wij zoveel mogelijk zien en beleven van dit prachtig land - waar ik, Veronique, geboren ben. Wij beginnen met een bezoek aan de Bay of Islands  dat ligt ten noorden van Auckland.



Dag 1. Aankomst Auckland

Bij aankomst in Auckland worden wij ontvangen en naar het hotel gebracht waar een welkomstbijeenkomst gehouden zal worden en wij onze gids zullen ontmoeten, samen met de andere gasten die deze tocht hebben geboekt. Wij verblijven 1 nacht in dit hotel. Lekker even bijkomen van de lange vlucht. Heerlijk te kunnen douchen en languit op bed liggen - zalig!






Dag 2: Auckland-Bay of Islands

Vertrekken uit Auckland en rijden langs de Hibiscus Coast Highway naar de prachtige Bay of Islands.

'Hole in the Rock'

Met een boottocht varen wij naar Cape Brett en als het weer het toestaat, door de beroemde 'Hole in the Rock'.

Dag 3: Bay of Islands - vrije dag! Dan krijgen we de gelegenheid om zelf wat rond te snuffelen.

Dolfijnen kijken

De mogelijkheden zijn divers dolfijnen kijken, met een bus naar het meest noordelijke punt van NZ, Cape Reinga, via het idyllische  90 mile strand gebied, of een dag zeilen of kajakken.
